Abner's latest short film, Future Leftovers, is currently on its festival run. The film was received with great applause at a private screening for friends and family. So far, the movie has been officially selected in several festivals including a semi-finalist award from Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles, honorable mention at the San Diego Movie Awards, and award of recognition for a Latin/Hispanic film at the Best Shorts Competition in La Jolla. 
Future Leftovers is about a young woman named Aylin who struggles with connection in this digital world. She gets rejected from an important job opportunity which causes her self isolation and already low self-esteem to worsen.
Abner currently works as an assistant editor at Palomar College TV, where he makes educational videos for school, promos, and short docs.
